How effective are crypto press releases in actually driving traction for Web3 project
#1
Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into different marketing strategies for Web3 projects, and I keep seeing “crypto press releases” mentioned in every guide, article, and expert tweet. But I’m wondering — how effective are these really in 2025? Like, beyond just getting listed on CoinTelegraph or some random PR distribution network, do crypto press releases actually bring in meaningful attention, community interest, or investor eyeballs?

For those of you who’ve actually used a crypto press release strategy — what kind of results did you see? Was there any measurable boost in site traffic, token interest, Discord activity, or community growth? Or did it just feel like a checkbox to make the project look “legit” on launch?

Also, I’m curious about what makes a press release actually work in the crypto space. Is it about the headline? Timing it with your token launch? Targeting specific media? Does it still matter to hit the big outlets, or is it more about where the community is (like X/Twitter, Farcaster, Telegram groups)?

There are so many Web3 projects launching and making noise every week. I'm trying to figure out whether a press release is a good spend of resources or just something people do out of habit. So if you’ve done one — especially recently — can you share your experience? Did it help, or did it flop?

Would love to hear real stories or examples from this community. Thanks in advance!
