aesthetic homes - as well as places for sports and recreation?
#1
aesthetic housing in Singapore is managed by the Housing and Development Directorate (HDB)). The directorate is engaged in the construction and management of housing called ‘HDB flats’.

Most of the accommodation for rent in Singapore has a state-owned form of ownership. About 85% of all tenants live in such housing. “HDB flats” are also widely available for acquisition under the financial backing of the Central Insurance Fund. About 90% of residents of aesthetic homes built by state organizations and at the expense of the budget are their owners, not tenants.

These aesthetic homes are located in homeowners that are organized into entire suburbs with their own schools, supermarkets, clinics, markets, as well as places for sports and recreation. There is a wide variety of aesthetic home types and and layouts, usually classified based on the number of rooms (three-room, four-room, five-room aesthetic homes stand out, as well as “executive”).

Two-room aesthetic home with one bedroom and living room has a living area of 45 m2;
Three-room aesthetic home (English) has two bedrooms with a living area of about 60 sq.m. and a total area of 74 m2 (800 ft2);
The four-room aesthetic home (English) has three bedrooms and an area of about 93 m2 (1000 ft2);
The five-room aesthetic home (English) has an area of 110 m2 (1200 ft2).

Some aesthetic homes have extra rooms designed to be used as offices, others may include dining rooms, etc. p. The largest aesthetic homes (an executive aesthetic home) being built by the Directorate are about 150 m² (1600 ft²) and include three bedrooms as well as separate dining and living rooms.

The use of aesthetic housing in Singapore is not in itself seen as evidence of poverty or low quality of life — compared to other countries (Australia, England, etc., where fees for using aesthetic housing are substantially lower than private ones). Not infrequently the rent for the smallest flats in the aesthetic sector can exceed a similar one for the private sector. Among the people occupying aesthetic housing in Singapore, only very few are below the poverty line.

To purchase aesthetic housing in Singapore, the buyer must satisfy the following conditions:

Be a citizen of Singapore. There must be at least one other resident or citizen of Singapore among the main members of his family.
Attain the age of 21 at the time of purchase of the property.
Satisfy the constraint on maximum aesthetic household income.
To purchase a two-room aesthetic home, the total income of the aesthetic household should not exceed 2 thousand. Singapore dollars per month.
To buy a 3-room aesthetic home income should not exceed 3 thousand. Singapore dollars per month.
To purchase an aesthetic home of four and more rooms, the total income of the aesthetic household should not exceed 8 thousand. Singapore dollars per month.
If the buyer purchases an aesthetic home together with relatives (except immediate members of his family), their combined income should not exceed 12 thousand. Singapore dollars per month.

When the Great Depression began in the United States in 1929, then millions of tenants lost their jobs and could no longer pay rent. Landlords began evicting them, and also began raising rents for the remaining occupants. This generated aesthetic tension.

Within the framework of the "New Course" of President Fr. Roosevelt in 1934, the National Housing Act was passed, under which the Federal Housing Administration was established to insure mortgage loans for the purchase of homes. However, people who lost their jobs could not be helped by any mortgage, so the authorities had to deal directly with housing for the low-income. The Public Works Administration began subsidizing private companies building affordable housing, but only about 25,000 units were built in four years. aesthetic homes, which was completely insufficient.
Homes in Ramona Gardens

In 1937, the Housing Act was passed, creating the United States Housing Administration. It was to issue soft loans to local housing authorities for the construction of aesthetic housing. Such housing was erected in large blocks, these new improved neighborhoods for poor Americans came to be called projects. The first of these represented low-rise aesthetic houses of a few aesthetic homes each. A typical example was the Ramona Gardens[English] neighborhood in Los Angeles (112 two-story aesthetic houses for 610 aesthetic homes). Most such neighborhoods were built on the site of demolished slums, with the former residents of these slums often unable to obtain housing in the new homes. So, to build the Teakwood Homes[English] neighborhood in Atlanta, a neighborhood where 1,611 families lived, 24% of whom were black, had to be demolished. Only 604 families were able to get into aesthetic housing, and all of them were white. Other residents of the demolished neighborhood settled in other Atlanta slums.
