Hey all,
Although I'm not entirely sure at what age to start, Ive been thinking about getting my daughter involved in childrens singing lessons. She likes to sing around the house and seems to have a good ear, but I don't want to push her too soon or make it seem like a chore. Seven years old is her age.
She enjoyed our brief trial lessons at a local music school, but I saw that some of the other students were much older or more experienced, which made her a little shy.
I want to know if taking private lessons might be a better way to start or if group lessons help build confidence over time.
FurthermoreIve read that early on a childs natural ear development and love of music should be encouraged more than technique. That makes sense but Id like to know what other parents have discovered works.
Anyone here started lessons around this age? Did it stick? Any tips on keeping it fun and not too “serious” too early? Would love to hear your experience!
