Is Omegla Really a Worthy Alternative to Random Chat Sites?
#1
I’ve noticed a lot of people talking about new chat platforms ever since Omegle shut down, and I’ve been curious about the replacements. Some claim that there are sites offering a similar vibe where you can instantly connect with strangers worldwide. Personally, I always liked the mix of video and text chatting on Omegle because it felt raw and spontaneous. But with its absence, the question becomes: what’s the next best thing?

Recently, I came across omegla, which seems to be marketed as a good alternative. Has anyone here tried it? Does it actually match the classic random chat experience we’re all used to, or does it bring something different?

I’m especially interested in whether it keeps the interaction anonymous while still feeling safe, because that balance was always tricky. Also, are people generally respectful on there, or do you still run into the usual issues?

If anyone has experience with this platform, I’d love to know: Is the video quality stable? Are there language options for connecting with people internationally? And overall—would you recommend it to someone who misses the old Omegle setup?
